What you need….
- An egg timer, or kitchen timer (most microwaves have this feature), or anything that tells the time.
- Set timer and commence any (or eventually many) of the following activities…
10 ~ Make a quick list of at least 3 friends that you haven’t talked to in a long time and have been meaning to call back and start by calling one of them.
9 ~ Make a list of all of the things you are grateful for in your life (things like friendships, health, conveniences, opportunities, etc.) and put it under your pillow. Start each line with “I am grateful for…” Read it before bed or whenever you find it. (You’ll score major “adorable” points if “someone else” finds it).
8 ~ Put on some of your favourite music and clean your kitchen (dishes, countertops, empty garbage/recycling, sweep/mop floor, etc.). No matter how bad it is, try to get as much done as possible in the 10 minutes! You’ll be so glad you did it.
7 ~ Get in your closet and start taking out clothes you haven’t worn in forever (unless it’s something seasonal) and make a pile of clothing to donate. Donate accordingly.
6 ~ Hug your roommates, friends or family members.
5 ~ Write your partner a passionate love letter.
4 ~ Get naked and dance!
3 ~ Meditate.
2 ~ Get rid of the clutter in your room and if you get done before your 10 minutes are up, vacuum! Again, you’ll be glad you did it.
1 ~ Be here now.
